Another precious recording of Alfred Cortot - Chopin's Nocturne in E Flat Major No.2, one of Chopin's best known compositions. Recorded Two days earlier than the Previous Waltz recording - March 19th, 1929. Cortot's interpretation is just great...I can't even find a word to explain this touching emotion, even in the Webster Dictionary..

I was surprised that very little amount of Videos which contains any full-length 78rpm recording of Alfred Cortot(1877.9.26 - 1962.7.15), the great Swiss pianist who was specialized in Chopin's pieces, had been uploaded. So, I'm now correcting that. This recording was recorded in 1929, and later re-released by Japan.... more
